Before establishing the business, Jeremiah pursued different small ventures, including selling SIM cards from street to street and working at a POS outlet where airtime was also sold. Although these activities provided an income, he decided to leave them behind and commit himself to learning how to repair phones and computers.
Moving from earning independently to serving under someone as an apprentice was not easy. The training period came with challenges, financial pressure and the consequences of repairs that did not always go as planned. Instead of giving up, Jeremiah accepted responsibility, learned from every experience and continued developing his skills.
His apprenticeship provided more than technical knowledge. It connected him with suppliers and experienced specialists capable of handling advanced repairs beyond the tools or facilities available to him. These relationships remain valuable to Jeremy Tech Solutions today.
The idea of turning those skills into a business became clearer during a visit to Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago-Iwoye, where he saw a large community that needed more dependable and knowledgeable technology services.
Although limited resources prevented him from studying at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Jeremiah found another path at the nearby Tai Solarin University of Education in Ijagun, where he discovered a community with similar technology needs.
After completing the first semester of his 100 level, Jeremiah established Jeremy Tech Solutions as a one-person operation at Shop 2, Bodus 4 Hostel, near the university’s second gate.
